no song lyrics because i have mozart's symphony no. 40 in my head (i'm cultured)

today:
near-death experience involving a faulty converter, straightener, and smoke.
markets
little venice
HUMANITIES TOOK OVER MY LIFE.

after breakfast, rebbie, lauren hunt, holli, lauren call, sara, and myself went to spitalfield market. it is supposed to be one of the better ones for clothes. it was a little too pricey, however. i did get handmade earrings and jewlery. well, at least she said they were handmade. after spitalfield holli, lauren call, and myself went to camden town market. pictured above. a different side of london, a cheaper side of london. a smells-like-incense side of london. i had my first haggling experience over a dress. i got him from 20 pounds to 12. turns out i didn't want it. but i rock at haggling. sort of. the dress i did end up getting i could only get him from 15 to 13 pounds. whatever.
(i am still not convinced that "haggling" is a real word. if it is, it is one of the uglier words in my life)

lauren and holli in camden market

afterwards, lauren and i took a walk in a part of london called "little venice." i didn't see anything that was too italian except the canal and adorable boats (barges?) pictured below.

nice day. holli dressed up like england did this around our room:

looking good. loving england.

my whole night was then spent studying humanities and taking my humanities test. my head is exploding with humanities knowledge.

narrative blogs are boring. happy friday. happy almost going to paris.

songs that are big in my life right now:
"all you need is love" - the beatles. because, seriously love is all you need.
"hoppipolla" - sigur ros. the next time i kiss a boy this had better be playing. sigur ros is also very choice for visits to art galleries and walking around trafalgar square on sunday afternoons.
"gone, gone, gone" - the notwist. sad. about being gone and stuff. which i will be soon.
"grolandic edit" - of montreal. the best soundtrack ever for walking around the city, fantastic beat.
"been so long" - vetvier. good pondering/sleeping music
"the predatory wasp of the palisades is out to get us!" - sufjan stevens. i listened to this while i caught a quick nap before dinner. it was one of the better naps i've had in a few weeks, and i credit that to this song.
symphony no. 4 in g minor - mozart. thanks to studying for humanities and also because i just like it.

i would like to send a special shoutout to the exchange rate: shoutout to the exchange rate! thank you for continually falling and falling. love, alison.

cheers

Dear Alison,

I appreciate the daily updates of your exploits and adventures. This is cliché, but I am very much wanting to be there right now.

Also, I'm glad you haggled that man down to 12 pounds.

Sincerely,
Matt
