today was kind of "that just happened" day.
we started out at buckingham palace at 11:00 a.m. for the changing of the guard. these pictures are fairly awful due to the large amounts of people. wooo royalty and guards changing

me making a stupid face, brooke, sara, marin, and lauren at buckingham palace

guards changing stuff

magical parade that is somehow a part of the changing of the guard. (if i were a good blogger i would have done research on this ceremony and write an educated blog about it. but i'm not. i'm a mass blogger)
afterwards we went to camden market again on a search of earrings for lauren. unsuccessful. rebbie, lauren, and myself headed to hampstead to do a walk. i love hampstead. it's a quiet little town outside of london that is historically a place of retreat. after the insane sensory overload of camden, it was a nice quiet place to go to.

rebbie and lauren walking. in hampstead.

cute hampstead shop street.

entrance to hampstead heath (a park)
we might have gotten lost in this park that was more like a forest. we were trying to get to parliament (kite) hill, where there is a fantastic view of the city. and kites. we just kept walking through the forest, occasionally asking people for directions but everyone else in the forest was lost and wandering too.

this is what public bathrooms look like in hampstead heath.

climbed this hill. parliament hill.

pretty.

the view. awww.

that is london. views are hard to capture on camera.

the parks here are well-kept but they do allow for more overgrowth, and i love it.

"do you want me to sit on a bench and do an emo pose?"
"uh.. yes."
thank you rebbie. emo rebbie.

we came down off of the heath and were lost. so we wandered. got magnums (that delightful ice cream bar rebbie is holding. )

after our ridiculous trek we found kentish town. yay kentish town and going home.
the end. came home, took a nap, went to pizza express for dinner, talked, blogged, talked, became no longer homeless (mack found an apartment). now, bed.
love.
cheers,
alison
