remember on the bus and your hand was on my knee

as you may or may not know i am a receptionist. people ask me where i receptionist. for some reason i can never come up with a good two or three word answer. i stutter around for a second mumble mumble something something i don't know there's like therapists and psychologists...yeah it's pretty low key. i suppose i could stick with "behavioral health center" but i don't know. and "outpatient mental health clinic" seems to freak most people out a little.

anyway that's where i work. most days it is really slow. the internet and i have lots of time together. there are a lot of people i know who are very good at making the internet a productive part of their lives. they learn stuff. they read up on current events. they find quirky videos. i confess my browser rarely strays from facebook. i also read a lot of blogs of people that don't know me. i feel that i know them because i'm a creeper and i stalk. anyway, these blogs always inspire me to start blogging more and to write my blogs in full, coherent sentences. blogs that would exhibit my wit and the fact that i am in fact an english major, well aware of the rules of grammar.

usually i don't write it though.

today, i'm giving it a shot.

i was productive on the internet. i learned about how vitamin water is a gimmick (i'm SHOCKED) and it's really just another soft drink. i'm a little annoyed because i had fooled myself into thinking it was something good. it certainly doesn't TASTE that good. pretty colors though.

i read about a newlywed couple that just got back from backpacking around europe. and i was jealous.

i read about new bands in an attempt to re-establish my music snob cred. (favorite find of the day) this is one of my only hobbies that i come in and out of with varying degrees of enthusiasm. i haven't hunted down new music in a long while. the hunt today inspired me to make a few mixes. suggestions for mix themes appreciated. one theme i've thought of is "driving to lagoon at 10 a.m." an event i hope will take place in the near future.

haha. I go through the same thing...non-productive internet hours. Some productive things I do is I read the news in french online - Google search le radio francias facile. It's a fantastic website so you can catch up on world news and brush up on your french.
