happy 101st post to me!
i have only written in this like 4 times since i have been back from london. simply shameful. so this post is going to be a conglomerate (i took geology once) of all the things i have THOUGHT about writing about lately but have not.
the first.
i love my parents. i had every intention of doing a father's day post where i publicly declared that my father is the most amazing man i know. i wish so much that i could get past cliche's but really my parents have been unreal lately in their support and patience with a slightly hysterical daughter. my mother is the best listener i know. the older i get the more and more i am realizing that i am becoming my mother. and i am so okay with that because she is quite the woman. my parents are such an example to me of how i want my marriage to be some day. their testimonies and selflessness are unmatched. i love you both, and thank you.

the second.
my dreams lately have been revolving around three things, all of which are pretty telling of my current obsessions.
lately i have been dreaming a lot about:
1) kittens - want one.
2) harry potter - i just re-read the sixth one in honor of the movie release, weston and i have recently watched all the movies up to this point, and now i am listening to the seventh one on cd. in my car. i spend a good 50% of my time thinking about/dreaming about harry potter.
3) seeing family i haven't seen in a year (particularly nephew gabey. who once referred to me as his "favorite ali." i hope to reclaim this title next week.) janna, cory, lucas, gabey, and mckay are all coming to stay next week and i couldn't be more excited.
the third.
my witty anicdotes from receptionisting. right now i can think of none. but once i had some ideas.
the now.
summer is in full swing and i have absolutely no tan to show for it. we bike ride. we go to seven peaks with 45 minutes until close. we make home-made ice cream. we watch absolute inordinate amounts of mtv. we win the ticket jackpot three times at trafalga. we go to the driving range. we have romantic evenings in the park. we spend a good two hours deciding what kind of ice cream we should get going from the creamery, to dariy queen, to mcdonald's, back to dairy queen. we set friends up on awkward dates. sometimes not awkward. we eat snow cones from spanish fork that are absolutely the most adorable (and delicious) snow cones i have ever consumed.
i must give a shout-out to 7-eleven for their mango-passionfruit "apocolyptic ice" flavor. it is so dreamy. shout out 7-eleven.
also went on a fantastic trip to california with mack, christene, and ashley. we rocked the oc and we rocked it hard. ashley was on the price is right, if you haven't heard. we were all on the front row but ashley was an actual contestant. watch the june 16th show on their website if you fancy a gander of all of us looking like absolute hobos in our matching jean cut-off shorts.
so much more to come with the fourth of july coming up, family reunions, westonweek (beginning on his day of birth july 1), etc. etc.
i feel caught up now.
muah.

I miss your blog posts. And playing HP trivia with you.
Also, I love your mom...cause I love you. Peace.
you better have an awesome post for the fourth of july. I need something patriotic to read while I'm in Asia. What exactly is westonweek? haha. Sounds fun for you both.
on your next blog can i get a shout out for revitalizing the look of your blog?
Congrats on 101. I like your new layout. And I love the little details you throw in because it gives your tribute posts so much heart.
