my adventure began with our first flight leaving an hour later than it was scheduled to leave. which was simply adorable. we had to almost run to make our connection in minneapolis. our next layover was in detroit. we had enough time to eat. which we did.
this is boring. but so is being on planes/in airports all day.
(p.s. "we" is me and five other girls in my program that were on the same flight.)
once i actually got to london (after watching three movies on the plane because i couldn't sleep. i'm just going to come out and say it: i hate john cusack characters. i just do. he makes me want to die.)
i got separated from the girls in my group because a bus picked us up from the plane to take us to customs, and i was on a different bus. i went through customs by myself and figured the best place to meet them would be baggage claim (i seriously feel handicapped in situations like these with no cell phone). i waited for about 15 minutes without seeing them and only started panic a little. but they all came, and we got our baggage. then two of the girls, alex and hailee, and myself opted to just take a taxi straight from the airport to the centre because we didn't want to deal with the trains.
here is the taxi:

so we got to the centre without a hitch (they spell it fancy with the "re" and since i'm fancy i will too.)

honeslty i don't enjoy writing narrative blogs. i feel like i make them sound cliche and boring. i won't describe every last detail. i went on a few different walks around here with a few different girls. i love london. that is all. everything is classy. everyone dresses so well. the shops, restaurants, and cafes are so picturesque and fancy. i can't even take it.

basically, i am in heaven. a very, very tired heaven.
the proudest moment of my day was when an american tourist asked me for directions. and i sort of gave them to him. probably, i got him lost. however, the important part is that i looked legit enough that people were asking me for directions.

i went to a cupcake place on portobello road and got hot chocolate and a nutella cupcake. portabollo road was a huge open antiques market today. jewelery, silver, scarves, clothes, just crazy things everywhere. it's rainy and overcast. i'm a 3 minute walk from hyde park. i already have a friend to go to shows with and we're seeing bon iver on the 11th. i got top bunk (probably a bad idea)

portobello road
i'm trying like mad to upload pictures but this internet is ridiculous.
that's all for now.
cheers
