jerky always seems like a good idea
until that's all you taste for the next two hours
a lovely mix with berry flavored applesauce.
and i'm all alone at this call center. in park city. i have a key to lock up. improvising my answers to "customer inquiries" which isn't exactly what i wrote on my resume but it's close enough. but i have my last.fm (like pandora) to keep me company. right now i'm on the iron and wine station, but my favorite station so far is the joanna newsom station. girl acoustic folkness has fit my mood nicely. and r.e.m. covers.
i don't think i would mind the lonesomeness if i hadn't been here for 8 hours already and exhausted every entertainment i have. reading, watching the office, reading music blogs, listening to music, looking for jobs, facebooking.

but,
i get paid to do this.
people in wyoming are nice to talk to. they're very friendly. if you have to work at an incoming call center, wyoming people are friendly "have a good day" not in a rush kind of people. so here's to you wyoming.
last night i went with ryan to the islands show. kid theodore and the islands bands were quite delightful. i was thinking whilst watching kid theodore what it would be like to live that life. i wondered if these boys had jobs besides their music. and how touring works into that. and what their plans are for the future. is this band everything or just something fun on the side? i don't think i would ever be able to live a band life. which is disappointing. i'm a wannabe though.

the lights in the main office just turned out automatically.
i demand a lot of attention sometimes. but i like this right now. there is a bike on the other side of this glass pane i'm behind. i'm thinking about taking it for a spin around the office.
if you were wondering how many people have called in the last hour,
the answer is 3.

I really liked this post. Maybe it was because it was next to the profile picture, which is now a cool blue. It just had the feel you get when you are by yourself at work at night and bored to death. And then the random streams your mind wanders down, that was nice too.
Sounds like your job is just that-- a job. Something to make money that has to be endured. Hope it goes better for you and you find some meaning in customer relations.
Here's to middle America.
