so it doesn't snow in rexburg. no, really. and it stays above 30. blowing my mind. i only have to wear four shirts rather than seven. i am in no way complaining. so long as when i go home their is a lot a lot of snow all christmas break.
i am pretty sure i'm developing ulcers. in my stomach and brain. finals well do that to you. nay, three french test in a week will do that to you. one down two to go. i have been so crazy stressed about french this week. i even tried to go to a study group (rarely a good idea). mostly all they did was argue about stuff and i got more confused so i just left. and studied by the light of the strands of christmas lights in my room. everyone knows they provide the best lighting for any given situation. i have prayed and prayed soooo much for this test. i usually do not write about spiritual things online, because, well to me it's kind of like trying to write about having a crush on someone or something. anything i write will sound cliche and therefore insincere. but i know Heavenly Father helped me out on this one. i took the test this morning and i really feel like I did well. i shouldn't be getting a 73% on it like i did the last one. i would also like to thank mi madre (ma mere?) for being in my head all week. last night after i had finished studying all i could hear her say is "alison you did all you can do. it's okay. let the Lord help you out now." and He did.
i still have ulcers. but someday i will learn to chill out.
ooooh i love long distance pseudo-relationships with impending two year departures. i was buying lunch in the library the other day (always a rip off but whatever) and the two girls working at cafe mckay were talking about how much they loved long distance relationships. i snorted a little. "it's so convenient. i never have to worry about looking cute. and i can get all of my homework done instead of having to worry about going out all the time."
yes. when i think long distance relationships or long distance medium-sized deals, i think convenience.
and that is as much as i will talk about my pseudo not love life.
i miss you
is very nice to hear, however.
8 days.
some things that have brightened my life in the death of finals time:
boy who grapevined sideways all the way up some stairs on campus yesterday. what pizazz. oooohh so funny
girl with metallic pointy elf toe boots.
boy who put coppertone endless summer on his face. and only his face.
the guy who helped me with me resume. for some reason, he cracked me up. he was so dry and monotone about everything. you could tell he wanted to be anywhere but helping me with my resume but he was nice about it anyway. i loved him. i want to write a story about him.
my english teacher for letting us re-do all of our works cited. none of us did on our poetry explications. i got a 72/100 on the paper because of it. but she is giving us a second chance for full points. that is one of those "lessons i learned in college" stories. do a works cited for every paper especially for english papers.
duh.
christmas lights in my room
our fantastic christmas extreme party extravaganza last saturday. gingerbread houses, stringing popcorn, decorating a real tree, etc etc.
i miss:
my family.
andrew.
ashley.
aaron.
marcie.
alex.
food.
ahem.
off to class.

You miss food? Don't scare me Alison. I love your writing. Have I said that before?
What are you doing with 3 French tests in one week? I suppose you are probably wondering the same thing yourself. We miss you too - we love you!
By the way, it hasn't snowed much in Michigan either - but the week straight of wind chill sub 20 temperatures have sure been nice. And we hear it only gets worse!
