last week we got strep throat.
it looked like this:
did not love this experience. we ate a lot of pudding though. wes bought 16 pudding cups, so we're still eating a lot of pudding.
luckily, elsie steered clear. thanks onguard.
the last month has kind of been crazy. in good and bad ways. we got sick twice, had lots of company, and dealt with less than awesome family news. i'm feeling a little discombobulated, and i'm ready to get back into a routine. elsie was a big help in jump-starting this for me when she woke up at 5:30 a.m. today. can't thank you enough els.
by way of updating, janna is doing fairly well, all things considered. she started chemo a couple of weeks ago, and was scheduled for a 3 week hospital stay. after almost a week of chemo treatments, they tested her blood levels and determined that she could go home. such blessings already. she has four kids, one being a one-month old baby, so being able to go home after initially thinking she'd be gone almost a month was awesome. she's starting to feel the effects of chemo, and there's still a lot we don't know, but like one friend told me would happen, so many helpers, particularly in their ward, have emerged to help my sister and her family. there's a lot to be grateful for.

weston makes strep look good. haha.
so glad to hear that your sister was able to be home with her family. we'll be praying for more tender mercies to come her way.
PUDDING.
If money makes the world go round, chocolate makes life happen. I'm glad you guys are recovering, and that your sister is too. If she's anything near resilient as you are (as in strong and creative and awesome) I can only imagine how great she is. Prayers for you.
