"you like to be sad don't you?"
i don't know about that necessarily, but i do love the subtle melancholy of autumn. before winter gets too depressing. when i'm happy to have the heater blowing full blast on me in the car, singing to songs that remind me of so many autumns past, before the year (the school year) settles into itself. before there are routines, before you are tired of those routines, before you know exactly what will happen and who it will be happening with.
i think it's the one time of year i really love change. of things being new, being different. there's so much potential. and there's so much anticipation for the settled feeling of winter. for comfort, nights in, and wool socks.
pretty content right now.
(in other news i just finished the seventh harry potter. again. so epic. snape is such a brilliant character.)
