(love this band. w's band is playing with them at kilby in a couple of weeks. come. it'll be a party.)
i make a lot of plans in the shower.
being in the shower makes me the world's best goal-setter.
in the shower plan on improving my handwriting, giving up caffeine, never eating out again, running everyday, actually signing up with a yoga studio, stop picking my skin (overshare?), get really tan, cook myself and boyfriend dinner, clean my car, clean my room, get rid of the majority of my clothes because i never wear them, get rid of the majority of the stuff under my bed because they're all cluttery knick-knacks and i want to be less materialistic, deactivating my facebook account, reading a book for book club, fixing my holga, budgeting my money.
blah
blah
blah.
then by the time i'm at work the next day some store sends me an e-mail about their new fall collection and i'm buying shoes i only sort of need. then it becomes imperative in my life that i have this and this, and i start scheming ways to acquire them. so the anti-materialism lasts until about noon. i hold out on the not eating out all day as i refuse to go buy lunch. then by the end of the work day i'm so freaking cranky from hunger that there is no WAY i'm going to take time to MAKE food. so i stop by taco bell on the way home. after eating a chicken quesadilla i feel absolutely disgusting and the last thing i want to do is put on spandex and run. i sit in my unclean room (too tired from work to clean it) feeling guilty about spending money on food, so i can't justify spending money on joining that yoga studio or buying the book for book club (library? what?) instead i use my FREE MONTH TRIAL to watch documentaries on netflix. documentaries are educational. eventually i get around to getting ready for bed.
i take a shower and make some new plans.
so much hope in that time between 12:00 and 12:20.
but seriously my birthday is coming up. list coming soon don't you fret.

i always do this too. but at night which makes me not able to go to sleep cause i keep planning and making goals. which isn't a good idea when babies don't sleep a long time during the day... but i must say, if you do give away your clothes, i would like to be on the list of potential owners :)
