your roundabout etiquette

chivalry thao with the get down stay down
(if i could play guitar/write songs like this woman i'd feel pretty good about myself)

one time ashley and i were pulling out of a spot in the wilk parking lot after church. when i pulled the car out i was bumper to bumper with a car facing me. i tried to steer around him but he steered the same direction i did. said car was full of boys who all started laughing. they started to inch forward. i started freaking out. i held my hand up, STOP STOP. ashley was laughing and blowing them kisses. i had to reverse the whole way out of the parking lot, with the boy car just inches from my bumper the whole time. they were all laughing oh ho ho ho. i started cursing and yelling "what if they HIT MY CAR??!! STOP! they shouldn't be doing this! it isn't safe!! STOOOP!"
when i finally got out of the parking lot i could not get over it. "why would he do that?! that was so annoying why blah blah blah." ashley paused and said, "....when i think of alison, i think 'good at being flirted with.'"

boy in my class: hey i like your buddy holly glasses!
me: weren't buddy holly's glasses square? (fyi: they weren't.)
boy: oh... uh i don't know... i guess
me: oh no... i mean... thank you that's nice

"alison, you're being alienating again."

Well, I think these stories of your awkward flirting are charming, if it's any consolation.
