i've read the right books to interpret your looks

1. Name three types of people who should qualify for forced labor camps:

-people who eat apples in class (maybe harsh. but seriously)
-stephenie meyer
-the insane people who drive on 500 n. people are always darting, u-turning inappropriately, slamming on breaks suddenly, driving on the wrong side of the street, etc. i have yet to drive down that street without some kind of traumatic episode.

2. What was the last thing you ate?
a delicious apple with peanut butter. apples are so out of control good right now.

3. What’s a goal you have?

to graduate someday and live in a foreign country. namely, england.

4. What do you think of entertainment awards shows?
i think that i never watch them but what i do know of them prove to be very good conversation starters: i.e. me saying "so...kanye west huh?" and a girl launching into a tirade about how she totally loves taylor swift i mean yeah i know country right but no really i totally relate to her you know like i was that girl in high school..i like liked the boys that liked the cheerleaders you know? (please bless that the people i light-heartedly mock on here never ever read this blog.)

5. How do you want to die?

i have no clever answer for this. honestly in my sleep.

6. What is your favorite vacation/get-away spot? Where will you be traveling next?

i like places that are nature-y pretty but don't require me to experience nature too much (hardcore camping). a nice hostel by a lake will do. where will i be travelling next? i think a trip to the exotic cedar city is in the works somewhere

7. How do you pronounce “gyro?”

i don't have much occasion to say it. i don't eat them; i only learned what they were last year. i know.

8. What have you found entertaining lately?

myself mostly. i've been laughing a lot at my own jokes.

9. Do you follow any blogs of nondescript people who you don't know? Why do you follow those blogs?

yes. i'm a stalker through and through. why do i do this? because people are more clever/better writers than me and i enjoy reading their stuff. also i have a lot of internet free time at my job.

10. What would you use a time machine for?

right now? i'd like to meet walt whitman. he seems like he knew how to have a good time.

11. What is your favorite restaurant?

mmm... well it all just depends doesn't it. i will never, ever turn cafe rio down. simply thai holds a very special place in my heart. blue plate, also dear to me.

reese witherspoon
the girl who plays ginny in the harry potter movies
hayden christensen

13. What’s the last book you read?

age of innocence by edith wharton. i liked it.

14. What’s the last movie you enjoyed?

ha. obsessed. so funny. haven't laughed so hard in a movie in ages.

when people "put people in their place"

i'm not going to lie i was tempted to cheat and skip to the next song. but it is there. i was an emo child once. and i loved every minute of it. and by love i mean had a lot of feelings (sad feeligns mostly) about it probably.

"the crane wife 1&2" - the decemberists
will always remind me of mack and the winter of 2007.

"elevate myself" - grandaddy
such a fun band.

18. What is the biggest mistake you have ever made?

ha fillouts are so nosy these days. biggest mistake recently? not seeing m. ward this summer.

19. What kind of toppings do you generally request for your pizza?

generally pepperoni hot-n-ready. if i'm somewhere fancy i do enjoy bbq chicken or chicken pesto

20. Who/what would you love to have complete control over?

everyone who drives on 500 n. south of university avenue

21. What does your ideal Saturday consist of?

i would sleep in but not too late. someone would make me a breakfast of french toast, hash browns, eggs, orange juice. i would ride the rush coaster at liberty land. after that i don't really know what could make the day better besides maybe somebody presenting me with a whole lot of cash.

22. What is one skill you lack completely but wish you could master with the snap of your fingers?

to play guitar skillfully, sing well, and have amazing lyrical talent. i spend a good deal of my time lately fantasizing about being a rockstar/having talent. think... leslie feist in her broken social scene days, karen o, or thao nguyen

23. What's something you live in constant fear of?

being startled.

24. What was the first album you listened to non-stop, over and over again?

i don't know about album but the first song i left on repeat for hours at a time was "rockin' robin"

25. Have you ever seen a live, wild rat? How about a dead one?

alive and dead yes in the london underground.

26. What thing have you most aggressively promoted?

lagoon. some people have the worst attitude about it but i was there last week and i didn't stop smiling for 4 hours straight.

27. Is there a band or musical trend you would love to see erased completely?
nickleback.

28. If you had to describe yourself using 3 words, what would they be?

really cute girl (i.e. i think of you like a sister, you're like my best friend, etc etc. see taylor swift reference above)


29. Where is the last place that you'd see yourself living?

idaho falls, idaho. i've never been in a more dire place.

30. What was the last video you enjoyed on the internet?

cat massage video.

31. What is your favorite smoothie combination?

berry lime sublime at jamba is nice. haven't had a jamba in ages.

32. What is the worst thing that has ever happened to your car?

while backing out of a tight spot under our town house this winter i scraped the whole side of it on an cement wall. awesome.

33. What album have you been listening to most?

this week has been a return to old favorites:
the historical conquests of josh ritter - josh ritter
milk-eyed mender - joanna newsom
we brave bee stings and all - thao nguyen and the get down stay down

also the best of simon and garfunkel

34. What clues you into a person's idiocy?

not wearing shoes in public places.

35. What is your favorite store to wander through?

markets. of all varieties. but especially ones where i get to sample lots of food.

I totally lol-ed this whole blog. And sometimes it worries me when I fit into some of your categories...I have walked around downtown slc w/out shoes on before. The heels I was wearing were really painful. But I promise I'm not THAT dumb :)
